The proposed view of Louisville's skyline with the new arena once completed. The Louisville Arena has followed a rigorous construction plan since it first broke ground in June of 2009 with a construction deadline of November 2010.  This month its construction milestones will include completion of the east half's structural steel, the lobby steel, and the upper bowl precast.

Sportsfans can already anticipate both the 2012 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament (first and second rounds) and the NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball 2012 National Championship. These events will greatly compliment the already regular hosting of the UL Men's and Women's Basketball Teams.

Tickets to the Louisville Arena for the UL Games will be assigned based on a points system. Patrons receive points for donations, each year they purchase football and/or basketball season tickets, each year they purchase season tickets to any UL non-basketball sport, and for signing up a new Cardinal Athletic Fund member.
